Field Status Update

ALL CHOOSE AND CUT FIELDS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.
This will help insure a good selection of high quality trees for next year.

We still have a good selection of pre-cut Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir, many in the 8-9' size range, brought in from our other farm. We also have a few pre-cut Scotch Pine and White Pine. We also have several wreaths, swags, and spruce tips, but no garland.

Tree sales will end when the remaining pre-cuts are gone. However, the gift shop will remain open 11am-7pm on weekdays and 9am to 6pm next weekend until our close for the season at dark on Tuesday, Dec 23rd. We still have lots of nice tree ornaments and gift ideas.

Field Status Update

Pictures of the choose and cut trees we have available as well as descriptions and prices are contained in the Sunday, 11/16/08 blog entry.

Although last Saturday wasn't the greatest day to cut a tree (strong NW winds), Sunday was perfect with no wind and huge, gentle snowflakes.

For choose and cut, going into the second weekend in December (12/13 & 12/14) we still have a supply of Fraser Fir and Blue Spruce in the 7-8' and a few in the 9' range. We also have a supply of White Spruce up to about 10-12'

Our supply of Balsum is now quite limited, mostly in the 7' range. Our field supply of Scotch Pine, White Pine, and Norway Pine is almost gone.

Because we closed our East Bethel farm, we still have an excellent supply of pre-cut Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir. We also have pre-cut Scotch Pine, White Pine, Blue Spruce, and White Spruce.

We still have a great selection of wreaths of several sizes and styles.

This will be Santa's last weekend. He will be here from 11am to 2pm on both Sat. and Sun.

We have a couple of new cutouts for photo ops this year, but our favorate is one we call "Priceless Presents". This is three of our "priceless" grandchildren.

Cutting Frasers

Our three boys were at the farm for Thanksgiving dinner and then headed to the Fraser Fir field to select their tree. Here are two of the trees, but they left plenty behind!

Haywagon Ride

Here the two trees are being loaded on the tractor drawn haywagon for the trip back to the shaker and baler by the gift shop. The haywagon circulates continueously on the weekends. You can also take sleds or carts into the fields or drive the lanes.

Pedro is back! Pedro is a burro that has been with us the last two seasons. He was sold by his owners last summer, but we tracked down the new owners and now have him back for this season. As a bonus we were able to get his friend, a pony named Redford. And the goats are back for the season as well.

Pinestead Pre-cut Trees

In addition to the selection of choose and cut trees shown below, we also have a large selection of pre-cut trees at prices ranging from $9.95 to $99.95. Here are some pictures of our choose and cut displays. The last picture is one of a Victorian type tree.

We now have the gift shop set up for the season with a fresh assortment of gift items and lots more unique ornaments. In addition, we have several new local crafters. We have beautiful hand made wooden toys made by TLC Toys as a fund raiser. They sell just enough to cover costs and give the rest away through a number of charities

This 9' Fraser Fir is one of three ornament trees.
